Prineville is a city in and the seat of Crook County, Oregon, United States. It was named for the first merchant located in the present location, Barney Prine. Now quickly growing from it's roots of rodeo and cowboys, Prineville is becoming a fantastic suburb of Bend and Redmond with the addition of Facebook and Apple headquarters. The lush farmlands are still there, offering livestock, irrigation and crop growing to balance out the community feel. Powell Butte ranches are the first you come across with many ranches and views from hwy 26.
